The use of a Good Staking Plan together with a good Forecasting System will almost certainly produce a good return of profit over a period of time. The basic idea is to vary the size of your stake on each bet so as to produce a long-term profit.

The mug punter will just bet with what he has got in his pocket on the day, with no planning. As a result he always ends up a long term loser. This is how the vast majority of punters work and therefore they make the bookies profits.

I want to show you a different way of betting, which will give you the profits and the bookies the losses.

PERCENTAGE STAKING PLAN

You should only use this Staking Plan if you know that your Forecasting System is going to give you above 70% winners.

Decide on a Kitty that you can afford, it could be £10, £100, £1000, or more. You always bet 10% of the bank. So as you win the value of your bets go up, when you lose they go down. e.g. You start with a bank of £100, you put £10 on the first bet it wins at 2/1. Your kitty is now £120, so your next bet would be £12. If that loses your kitty will be £108, so your next bet would be £10.80.

This is a simple Staking Plan, but should be only used if your Forecasting System is going to produce a high percentage of winners, because then you will never suffer a losing streak that will wipe out your bank.

MONTE CARLO STAKING PLAN

This Staking Plan will show a profit if your Forecasting System only produces 50% Winners. This is a simple to use Staking Plan.

Decide on a stake you can afford, with this system you increase the bet by one after a loss, and decrease by one after a win. e.g.If your stake is £10, if your horse loses you bet £11, if it wins you bet £9 next time.

Gentle, gradual increases and decreases ensure that your staking does not go racing out of hand. Your winning bets will always be worth more than your losing bets that went before. So in the long run you should show a profit, even if you only manage to win 50% of the time.

THE CANCELLATION SYSTEM

With this System you can make a profit from having slightly less than 50% winning days (at 2/1) and it invloves a lot less risk than either of the other systems. But it is a bit more complicated.

First of all we need to write a sequence of numbers. These 4 numbers could be in any sequence you like but I will use 2,4,6,8. To work out the stake we add the first and last numbers together, which gives us stake of £10

If the bet wins we cross off the 2 & 8, which leaves us with 4 & 6. We add our first and last numbers together again which gives us a stake of £10.

If the bet had lost, we add the 10 to the end of the sequence giving us a new sequence of 2,4,6,8,10. We add the first and last & numbers together which gives us a Stake of £12

I show an example in the table below. We assume all bets are at 2/1 Odds
